How Should You Be Taking Care Of Your Tattoo

admin » 30 May 2009 » In Tattoos » No Comments

Getting a tattoo is a very important thing so if you are not sure about anything concerning your tattoo, you should get some tattoo advice before you go ahead. A lot of aftercare is going to be involved in handling your tattoo and your tattoo will most likely be with you for life. You can have any questions about your tattoo answered at the tattoo shop which you decide to get your tattoo at.

You can also ask around and check what other people have in terms of tattoo advice. It is quite common to hear someone state that they wished they had gotten a tattoo in a different area of their body or that they had changed something about their tattoos. You should ask them about aftercare when you are at it. They might offer you a couple of great tips before you get a tattoo.

If you have to consider tattoo advice, one important one to note is that you ought to try and avoid rebellion tattoos at all costs. Rebellion tattoos can simply be defined as tattoos which were gotten out of anger or as part of a radical move and which will most likely be regretted much later on in life.

Other than this simple form of tattoo advice, you should also make sure that you find a talented tattoo artist and go a tattoo shop which is known to be reputable. You should ask questions around and find out what other people have to say and who they recommend. You should also find out whether the tattoo artists are friendly and informative and whether they allow you understand the aftercare process properly.

You should think of factors such as how your tattoo is going to look when you grow older and your skin is no longer as elastic as it is now. Are you using a tattoo meant for larger areas of your body and trying to squeeze it into a smaller area that will do it no good at all? Will your tattoo be an employment problem for you?

The right approach to getting a tattoo means that you have to be logical and educated as well as passionate and adventurous. Tattoos are not items that you look for bargains on; there can be no compromise in value and price if you want to get work of the right quality done. It is not really worth it trying to save pennies when you are getting a masterpiece in terms of artwork that will be displayed on your body for the rest of your life.

Tattooing will hurt when getting it done but tattoo artists can give you advice on how to mitigate the pain which is likely to be experienced when getting a tattoo.

Basically these are the various areas where getting tattoo advice may prove to be helpful so if you have friends who have a great deal of experience when it comes to tattoos, make sure that you listen to what they say and follow through properly with aftercare and proper tattoo management.

7 Tips to Prepare for Your Job Interview

admin » 24 May 2009 » In Foot Tattoos » No Comments

nt in the cover letter with your resume and you received a call asking you to come for an interview. The employer sounds impressed with what you sent them on paper and now they want to meet you in person.

Job interviews are your second step to the first impression a company has of you. In the beginning they think they know you on paper but you have to make them comfortable with you as a potential employee.

Whether you are a new graduate or an older worker if you can put your best foot forward in an interview you can grab the job you want. Here are some tips to help you prepare:

1.Brush up on your speaking skills — if you are a person who doesn’t speak well in front of people, it may be a good idea to practice speaking in front of a group. Many job interviews today are group interviews instead of personal ones. In fact, many interviews today have a group discussion as part of the interview process. The more confident you are speaking to a group, the more your personality will get across.

2.Check your appearance — no matter what job you are going towards make sure that you have appropriate dress for the interview. Look business, look professional.

3.Piercings, Tattoos and other personal statements — in most interviews, it is inappropriate to show piercings and tattoos. Of course this depends on the job interview, but you want to put your best foot forward. Take out piercings and hide tattoos if you can for now.

4.Keep extra copies of resumes — even though the employer has your resume, you will want to take several copies with you. There may be other people in the room who also need to see your qualifications. Don’t rely on the employer to do this for you.

5.Promote you — when you are in the interview keep your comments specific to the job for which you are applying. Show them how you did similar things in your last job (accomplishments) and create a positive image of who you are in work.

6.Do the job interview with confidence — employers like to see confident job seekers. Watch your body language and make sure you are always showing openness to the process. Give a firm handshake in the beginning.

7.Make sure you are comfortable — wear comfortable shows, dress comfortably but business like and make sure that you are comfortably seated when you get to the interview. This will add to your self-confidence.

A job interview is really a kind of game that we play that allows an employer to look us over before they choose to buy. If you are appalled at that idea think about it more. It is a system where employers ask questions and you are there with the ready answers. How well you answer the questions is how you will obtain the job. If you see it as a game you may relax a little and prepare easier.

So, take heed of these tips and prepare well for your interview. Good luck!

How Much Do Tattoo’s Cost?

admin » 24 May 2009 » In Tattoo Flash » No Comments

I get this question a lot from people who see my tattoos. After they ask me all the normal questions, did it hurt, how long did it take and so on. They always ask how much did it cost? Well I’m here to tell you there really isn’t a set rate to how much a tattoo cost. It all depends on the artist really. If you are going to a very well known experienced artist you can expect to pay $180 an hour and up. You also have to take in consideration how big the tattoo is and how many colors are going to be used. Also if you want some sort of custom tattoo that the artist has to draw out you will be looking at a bigger price tag than if you picked something off the wall.

Now probably what you all want to know, how much did I pay for my tattoos? I have no problem sharing. I paid $50 for my first tattoo which is a Lion’s head on my left shoulder blade and I paid $75 for my Libra Scales I have on the lower part of my back. Both of my tattoos took about 10 minutes a piece and they are not very big. So I hope this gives you a little insight on how much money you are going to spend on a tattoo. Just keep this in mind, you get what you pay for. Chances are if you are paying under $50 for a tattoo you may not be getting good quality work. Not unless you are just getting something very small like a star, intial or something along those lines.

How should I cover my tattoo when I sleep?

admin » 19 April 2009 » In Tattoos FAQ » 11 Comments

I tend to scratch when I’m deeply asleep and won’t notice it and when I notice it I already scratched my tattoo and I’ve done this to my previous tattoo and it actually tore my tattoo and it was a bit noticable and this is my third tattoo and I don’t want it to tear. How should I cover my tattoo when i go to bed? With a paper towel around my shoulder? I know that tattoos do need air for the healing process. What should I do?
my tattoo is located on the shoulder.
I think I probably have to clip my nails on the left hand because then I won’t scratch. I can’t put a sock on b/c it’s summer and I’ll be sweating too much.
I do sleep with a large t-shirt but then it rises when I sleep. Even if I wear a long sleeve shirt I can still scratch but it won’t be directly to the skin.

Choosing the Best Tattoo Design You Will Not Regret

admin » 18 April 2009 » In Tattoo Designs » No Comments

Interested in getting a tattoo but not sure what you want to permanently ink into your skin? Your not the only one with that train of thought, it is a big decision to make. Tattoos are not easily removed and the experience is painful, time consuming and costly. Your tattoo will most likely be with you for the remainder of your life, so you want to make sure it is something you will love for the remainder of your life.

You may want to take into consideration not just the look of the tattoo, but what the tattoo may say about you or what it may represent or symbolize. A good way to start thinking about the tattoo you may want is to look through other examples. There are probably millions of tattoos to choose from in various colors, sizes, styles and shapes. If it can be drawn, it can be tattooed. Places to search for tattoo designs include magazines, online websites or design books and samples at a tattoo parlor. Another option for a unique tattoo would be to create your own design or to spend some time with the tattoo artist and discuss with them what you have in mind so they can create a custom and unique design for you personally.

A good tattoo artist should be willing to work with you to get you what you truly want for a tattoo design. If you find a design that is what you desire in a magazine simply show the picture to the tattoo artist and they will draw the tattoo up for you. If you look online for a tattoo design, tattoo websites may offer some designs for free, while others may charge a small fee for you to print off and use their design. Either way, print out the design at the correct size that you wish, if possible, and bring it with you to the tattoo appointment.

Besides the meaning behind a tattoo, others things you will want to consider is the size of the tattoo, the location of where the tattoo will go, if you want the tattoo in color or as a black and white tattoo. Again, remember how it will look and be when you are elderly, will you still want a fad tattoo to show in a prominent and uncovered spot? Plenty of thought should be given to such a permanent stamp on the body. Along these lines, you may run into a tattoo who will refuse tattooing names or dates. Before getting offended at the artist, think about their reason for acting this way.

The tattoo will long outlast any relationship for example. Lovers and friendship may come and go, regardless of how well the relationship may be now that can change in the future and a tattoo can be a reminder of a lot of pain. It is these kinds of tattoos that people regret the most later on in life. You may want to consider a trendy tattoo in much of the same way. Do you want a tattoo that is stylish now, but may be distasteful or embarrassing at a later time?

A tattoo can be a beautiful thing in symbolism or in shape and the tattoo we choose should represent ourselves by giving it deep thought that takes into account all the important factors mentioned above. Finally, be proud of the art that you place on your body!

Tattoo Designs – A World Wide Trend

admin » 16 April 2009 » In Tattoo Designs » No Comments

Have you noticed that it seems that every second person these days is proudly showing their tattoos. You have the traditional older guys who have been wearing tattoos for ages as well as young women and men who have just started on their ‘tattoo collection’. The trend seems to be growing so rapidly that new Tattoo Parlours are opening up almost on a daily basis. It would be fair to say that today tattoos are more popular than during the Second World War years when tattoos became the fashion amongst the armed services.

While it is just great seeing so many people wearing tattoos, particularly the young tattoo devotees, it is important that the potential wearer gives the subject some serious thought. It is imperative that if you are considering getting a tattoo that you take your time and put some serious thought into which tattoo design you are going to choose and, importantly, where you intend to put the tattoo.

A tattoo will become a permanent feature on your body so you must make absolutely sure that you choose tattoo designs that are going to look good and suit your own particular lifestyle and beliefs. You are going to have to be satisfied with your design and not get bored with it in the future.

Where Do You Source Tattoo Ideas?

There are simply so many different tattoo design options available that it would be impossible to catalog every one. You can either choose to go with one that has already been created, or you can literally start from scratch and design your very own tattoo. The majority of tattoo studios even allow you to work one-on-one with the tattoo artist so that together you can create the perfect design for you.

In my opinion creating your own individual design is the best option because what you end up having etched on your body will be personalized with a particular significance and meaning to you. You will also be less likely to tire of it in the future compared to a tattoo that has no particular significance other than you thought it was ‘cool’ when you had the tattoo done.

If, however, you are more interested in finding a design that has already been created, then you have unlimited options as there are literally tens of thousands of fantastic websites that you can visit and browse through their galleries until you find a tattoo design that you fall in love with.

One top website devoted to creative tattoo designs is Tattoo Johnny. Their gallery feature some of the world’s most popular and inspiring designs. One of the best features of Tattoo Johnny’s website is it allows you to pay for your chosen designs and print them off in full size. You can then head off to your local tattoo studio where they can use that exact print to produce your tattoo. This means that you will be getting exactly what you want and know what it is going to look like before you even venture into the tattoo studio.

Another brilliant online tattoo shop is the Bullseye Tattoo Company. They are universally regarded as having an incredibly large and varied selection of tattoo designs available for purchase and download. Again you can visit their website where you can browse through literally thousands of original tattoo designs from a compilation of different well known and creative artists and then buy and print off the ones that you like best.

So if you are looking to get a tattoo please think long and hard about the tattoo design you want and a word of warning, never get a tattoo unless you are one hundred percent sure that you will love your chosen one forever.
